TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 24 Chinese military aircraft and 8 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on February 20th, 2024. The number of military aircraft and naval forces spotted around the island is greatly elevated today.

TAIPEI - According to Taiwan's Ministry of Defense 7 Chinese military aircraft, one PRC balloon, and 5 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels were spotted around the island of Taiwan on February 18th, 2024, and the same amount of aircraft, balloons and naval forces were spotted the day before as well.

North Korea Launches Several Cruise Missiles

SEOUL - The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff have released a statement saying that its military detected several unknown cruise missiles that had been launched by North Korea on the morning of February 14th, marking the fifth time this year that the country has launched cruise missiles.

Of the military aircraft spotted were fighter aircraft and drones, according to the map provided by  Taiwan's  Ministry of Defense. 11 of the aircraft spotted crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait and entered into the island's southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ).

Taiwanese Armed Forces responded to the activities by monitoring the situation and employing CAP aircraft, as well as activating Naval vessels and coastal missile systems.
