Explosions initially sounded in Kashmir, after which the Pakistani military said India had initiated an attack on Pakistan with missiles, which targeted the following locations: Bahawalpur, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad.

According to the Indian Army, the country carried out a precision strike against terrorist encampments in Pakistan. The Indian government stated, "Our actions were focused, deliberate, and non-escalatory".

A Pakistani military spokesman said at least three people were killed and 12 injured during the strikes by India on Pakistani territory, adding that damage assessment is ongoing. The Indian government said it showed considerable restraint in the attack regarding the targets chosen and methods used.

Indian Army: “Pakistan again violates the Ceasefire Agreement by firing artillery in Bhimber Gali in Poonch-Rajauri area. Indian Army is responding appropriately in a calibrated manner.”
