TAIWAN — From July 2 to July 4, 2025, China’s military conducted significant air and naval operations around Taiwan, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND). Over two consecutive 24-hour periods, the MND documented a total of 82 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft sorties and 17 PLA Navy (PLAN) vessels, with numerous aircraft crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait.
On July 3, 2025, China launched satellites from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center (XSLC), with the flight path passing over Taiwan’s southwestern Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) at a high altitude.
