EUROPE — Three Russian MiG-31 fighter jets entered Estonian airspace without permission over the Gulf of Finland on September 19. The aircraft remained in the area for 12 minutes.

No flight plans were filed. This incident represents the fourth violation of Estonian airspace by Russian aircraft in 2025. The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian chargé d'affaires to deliver a protest note.
