MIDDLE EAST — On June 5, 2025, Israel confronted dual threats in the Middle East, from from strikes on Hezbollah drone manufacturing sites in Lebanon and an additional Houthi ballistic missile launch from Yemen toward Israeli territory, with debris falling in Jerusalem.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) detected unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) production facilities concealed by Hezbollah within Beirut’s civilian Dahieh neighborhood, indicating a planned strike.
Simultaneously, Houthi forces launched a missile toward Israel, activating sirens in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria; the IDF reported a successful interception, with debris falling in southern Jerusalem, according to the Jerusalem District Police which sent bomb disposal units to the site, though no injuries or deaths have been reported.
