Multiple Drone Attacks Near Merchant Vessels Around Al Mukha Yemen
Authorities are currently investigating the incidents, vessels in the region are advised to transit cautiously and report any suspicious activity.
YEMEN - There have been multiple drone attacks around Al Mukha, Yemen involving an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and an Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV). Furthermore, there have been additional sightings of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in the region.
The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) has reported that a UAS drone exploded near a vessel. Then another USV also exploded near the ship. The vessel targeted during the first explosion is assumed to be the same vessel as was targeted the second time, based on the wording of the alert.
