LITHUANIA — Italian fighter aircraft flying the NATO Air Defense Mission from Siauliai Air Base destroyed a drone over central Lithuania shortly after midnight on September 15, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense, and the National Crisis Management Center said.
The center said the aircraft likely entered from Belarus, crossed the Trakai District near Lentvaris, and continued west before it was destroyed near Pratkunai village in Kaisiadorys District, Kaunas County, in a rural area near Lake Kaunas.
