FLORIDA — President Donald J. Trump hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Mar-a-Lago on December 28 following a telephone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 35 assaults in the Pokrovsky direction, 18 in the Kostyantynivka direction, 11 in the Oleksandrivsky direction, and 17 in the Gulyaipil direction. Ukrainian units repelled several assaults, with some clashes ongoing.
The report detailed Russian artillery shelling on populated areas in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursky directions, Russian forces fired 15 shellings. Ukrainian units repelled attacks in various sectors, including near Staritsa and Grigorivka. Fighting persisted in Lyman and Slaviansk directions.
The report highlighted that no significant changes occurred in other directions. Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery struck six Russian personnel concentration areas, three control points, and one other target during the previous day.
The update by the Ukrainian Armed Forces mentioned 16 attacks in the Lymanskomu direction and 16 in Oleksandrivsky. No significant changes were recorded in other directions.
