Unconfirmed Rocket/Missile Launch From Iran Today, Confirmed Iranian Satellites Launched Into Space Earlier This Week

Two Iranian satellites, named Kowsar and Hodhod, were launched from eastern Russia early on Tuesday, marking what Iranian state media says is "growing space cooperation between Moscow and Tehran".

IRAN - There have been as of yet unconfirmed Open Source Intelligence reports that either a ballistic missile or a satellite carrier rocket has been launched from Shahrud, Iran just days after Tehran launched two domestically produced satellites into space for the first time.

NOTE: There was some confusion about this report for some people. Summary: There were unconfirmed reports today that Iran had launched a missile, the type of missile was unknown. Then, on Tuesday, Russia launched a batch of satellites from a satellite carrier rocket, two of those satellites were Iranian and launched into space from Russia.

Video: Footage being widely shared by Open Source Intelligence accounts regarding an unknown ballistic missile or rocket launch from Shahrud, Iran. This report will be updated if more information becomes available.
