YEMEN/SYRIA - U.S. Forces destroyed 1 Houthi missile system in a Houthi-controlled area of Yemen which was determined to be a clear and imminent threat to U.S. and Coalition forces, as well as merchant vessels in the region.

Furthermore, U.S. forces targeted and killed a senior Al-Qaeda leader in Syria with a "kinetic strike", according to a statement by U.S. Central Command, which stated the strike targeted a leader of the Al-Qaeda aligned "Hurras al-Din" group.

According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor Makki was Saudi Arabian and an ex-leader of the Jund al-Aqsa militant group. Local media reported that Makki was killed by two missiles that hit his motorcycle as he was riding on it.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) is also reporting an update to attack incident 110 regarding a merchant vessel that was attacked on August 21st. Three fires have been reported on the vessel and the UKMTO says that the ship is "drifting".
