U.S. Southern Command Conducts Strike on Vessel in Eastern Pacific
SOUTHCOM Intelligence stated that the vessel was transiting known narco-trafficking routes and engaged in trafficking operations.
EASTERN PACIFIC — On May 26, Joint Task Force Southern Spear, at the direction of U.S. Southern Command commander Gen. Francis L. Donovan, conducted a strike on a vessel in the Eastern Pacific.
SOUTHCOM Intelligence stated that the vessel was transiting known narco-trafficking routes and engaged in trafficking operations.
One person was killed and two survivors were rescued after U.S. Southern Command notified the U.S. Coast Guard.
