The report states that the vessel sustained damage, but that no fires or casualties were reported. It went on to say that the crew are all reported to be safe, and the vessel is proceeding to its next port of call.

Authorities are currently investigating the incident, according to a report by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), which advises vessels transiting the region to do so with caution and to report any suspicious activity.

The last incident report released by the UKMTO was a suspicious approach alert on September 20th, 2024.
