ISRAEL/IRAN — Three explosions were reported east of Tehran as Iranian air defense systems intercepted incoming Israeli targets over the capital.
Israel attacked the country's Isfahan nuclear site, according to Iranian state-run media, as well as Israeli Army Radio. Fars news agency reported no deaths, and that no hazardous material was leaked due to the attacks.
According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the strike killed Saeed Izadi, head of the Palestinian Division within Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Izadi had “funded and armed Hamas ahead of the October 7 massacre.”
