Yemen Armed Forces Claim To Have Shot Down American MQ-9 Drone

YEMEN - The Yemen armed forces claimed to have shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone on Thursday while carrying out "hostile" operations in the Ma’rib Governorate. So far there has been no confirmation by the United States than an MQ-9 was shot down over Yemen.
The Yemen Armed Forces have repeatedly made claims that were later refuted by the United States, including regarding a recent attack on the USS Mason and a vessel called “Destiny”.
A statement posted by Yemen Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree (closely linked with the Houthi terrorist organization) claimed that the MQ-9 drone was targeted by a "locally-made surface-to-air missile".
